Salt lick made from pure, natural salt for your horse.

Our salt licks come from the northern part of the Salt Range (Himalaya Mountains) in Pakistan.
The distance to the snowy peaks is about 150 - 200 km.

This salt is more than 250 million
Years old and therefore free from the pollution of today's seas and contains a high variety of essential minerals and trace elements as they were found in the primeval sea.
After being mined in the salt mine, the stones are individually processed and classified by weight.
The stones are then drilled through to provide a means of attachment to the salt lick holder.
The stones are washed in brine and dried in the sun.
After drying, the stones are individually wrapped in foil and boxed.
In this way, contamination is avoided and the stones are protected from dust and dirt.

Makana salt licks are food grade and can be stored dry indefinitely.
In contrast to industrially manufactured and pressed stones, these salt licks are also far less sensitive to moisture.
