For our manako BIO linseed flour, the unroasted premium organic linseed is gently de-oiled and ground using traditional craftsmanship. The flour contains approx. 13% linseed oil, vegetable protein and approx. 39% fiber. Due to the gentle processing of the linseed after the first cold pressing of the oil and the grinding of the pomace into fine flour, the valuable ingredients and active ingredients, such as the particularly high proportion of omega 3 fatty acids, fiber and lignans, remain in their native form.
Linseed flour is very suitable for low-carbohydrate cuisine. Linseed flour is ideal as an ingredient in muesli or for baked goods. For example, you get a particularly nutty note in every muesli or in the home-baked bread or cake dough. As a rule, up to 20 percent of the flour (e.g. unhealthy wheat flour) in a recipe can be replaced with flaxseed flour. Due to the excellent swelling capacity of 300-400%, baked goods are juicy and fluffy.
Lighten up juicy meat dishes
The flour is also ideal for "lengthening" meat dishes such as "meatballs", "meatloaf" or "Königsberger Klopse". Simply mix a little flax flour into the raw meat loaf. The jelly-like swelling properties of the linseed flour make meat dishes juicy and fluffy.
