Psyllium Husks are made from the seeds of the plantago ovato plant that is mainly cultivated in India but also in other parts of the world. This is where the term Indian plantago comes from.

Psyllium Husks have a high fibre content and swell considerably to a gel when soaked with water. This gel can help to keep the intestine in motion.

Can be added to drinks and is also used for baking.

Put between 5 - 15 g of flea seeds in a glass of water per day, stir thoroughly and allow to swell briefly before drinking. It is important to drink enough when taking psyllium. At least one glass of liquid (preferably pure water) should be consumed per teaspoon.

A level measuring spoon corresponds to approx. 4 g.

Note: Flea seed husks can reduce the absorption of active ingredients from medication, so they should only be taken at a timed interval from medication. Flea seed husks should not be taken if there is a possible intestinal obstruction or if there is a pathological constriction of the esophagus or the gastrointestinal tract. The doctor should be consulted beforehand if you are taking medication that inhibits bowel activity at the same time.
