Makana Psyllium Husk Pellets are rich in mucilage and have a strong swelling property that can aid in the gut's self-cleansing. Due to the high content of swelling substances, earth and sand can easily be excreted in the horse droppings.
The mild-tasting psyllium husks contain up to 30% mucus. They swell in liquid to many times their own weight and have a gelatin-like consistency after swelling. The slime power is many times that of, for example, linseed.
