Grape seed oil has one of the highest proportions of unsaturated fatty acids of all vegetable oils and is an excellent edible oil and dietetic food. It has a high smoke point (>190°C) and is therefore suitable for hot cooking or for refining salads and vegetable dishes.
Because of its high content of vitamin E and valuable fatty acids, grape seed oil is also a popular component of cosmetic preparations and has skin-care properties.
