manako ® Flaxseed oil is pressed on a daily basis in our Makana oil mill. The first cold press generates a supremely digestive cooking oil. With approx. 50 % our Flaxseed oil contains a high percentage of Omega-3 fatty acids, as well as approx. 22 % oleic acid and approx. 15 % Linoleic acid (Omega-6). Flaxseed oil is perfectly suited to create salad dressings and to subsequenlty refine warm dishes. Do not heat!

You can recognise fresh Flaxseed oil by the golden-yellow colur and its mild taste. You will notice the difference!

Upon purchase the Flaxseed oil has been produced at most two weeks ago!

Hermetically sealed and stored in the dark by a temperature of 5-10°C, it can last for up to approx. 2 more months.

Tipp: You can store Flaxseed oil in the deep freezer, too. This way it can last for up to approx. 3 more months!

Please note: When storing Flaxseed oil below freezing temperature, opacities and / or flocculation can occur. When reaching room temperature again, the oil becomes clear again. This is not a sign of reduction of quality, it is an indication of the gentle production and purity of the product.

Our Flaxseed oil is a natural product and the colour, viscosity and odour might differ somewhat.

Deposit, opacities or taste as well as colour variations are natural.

Our oils are being cold pressed (under 40 °C) and by moderate pressure. In our production we do not use the commonly used production techniques such as refinement or extraction. A subsequent heat damage, physico-chemical changes or process residues are avoided. The final product does not contain any added preservatives or any other additives.

In our oil mill we permanently press fresh Flaxseed oil from linseed. Our oils are being bottled in a vacuum-bottling plant. This way we ensure that the oil does not make any contact with pumps or metal parts.

Salad with Flaxseed-Dressing:
Dressing ingredients:
3 tablespoons Flaxseed oil
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons curd
juice from half a lemon (or apple vinegar)
salt, pepper
herbs at will

Mix all ingredients until frothy. You will have a creamy and incredibly tasty salad dressing that goes wonderful with all kinds of green salads. This dressing is also a great basis for potatoe salads. Take the chance- you will not regret it and you will be astonished, how great this recipe tastes!
